During the month of June students will be exploring pigments and paperfor their monthly Atelier Exploration. Atelier Explorations are special programs consisting of preparations and proposals provided by our Atelierista team. During these programs, children from all of RST’s classes are able to invent and test new ways of learning, discovery, and creative exploration inside our Atelier.

For the June exploration, children will use a variety of natural materials (like fruits, vegetables, charcoal, and spices) to create their own pigments of ink. They will also be using recycled paper to create their own handmade paper, which they will use to create individual artworks with their pigment inks. To finalize the immersive experience, children will be able to use their inks to create dynamic and evolving projected artworks, in addition to using digital microscopes to explore the texture of their paper.
