These programs are designed to be the gateway into a life at school for our youngest learners. While beginning their schooling children need to constantly be provided a caring, safe, and nurturing environment. By facilitating this foundational environment we provide a space where the children feel motivated to explore and interact with the world around them. The curriculum focuses on topics that facilitate an interest in learning with revolving centers and exciting emergent projects. The children are allowed to explore their interests, reward their curiosity, and further their own development. To guarantee the children’s involvement the teachers strive to imbue the classroom with excitement and to create an environment that constantly welcomes children to learn and discover.

In the Maple class teachers and children begin to further develop a reciprocal learning relationship. Three year old children are ready to confidently represent their interests and therefore at this age inquiry starts to play a central role in the classroom. As the children learn and explore teachers work to modify projects and supplement studies to make sure each child has a chance to explore their interests, find the answers to their questions, and discover the world around them. The Maple program is supplemented by exciting lessons in music, sports, gardening, and other subjects. The goal of the Maple program is to allow the children to develop a love for learning through more in-depth exploration.

Throughout student-led projects, as children work to find the answers to their questions, they are empowered with a unique toolset which will prepare them for success in their future education. Alongside project work the children are engaged in a variety of elementary readiness programs. Finally, learning is supplemented by unique experiences such as the Art Trip program and a wide array of community learning opportunities. The goal of these programs is for the children to become confident problem solvers who will carry their love of learning with them wherever they go in life.

  • Our Graduates

As a school we take immense
    pride in our large and
    > community of graduates.
    progress through RST they
    develop unique characters,
skills, experiences, and stories that inform and influence a lifetime of further development and learning. We have seen our graduates move on to successful experiences at most major international schools, private Japanese schools, and public Japanes schools. In addition to this our graduates have been able to follow passions developed at RST into success with sports, arts, dance, music, and STEM.

Not only is our goal for our graduates to be able to grow and achieve their dreams, but also to remain a part of our school community as they develop the friendships they made here for the rest of their lives.

    RST Graduates Club Program

    Community Outreach

The mission of the Graduates Club is to create a space for our graduates to continue being a part of the school community. The program offers a wide array of opportunities for our graduates to continue learning together and showing the natural personalities they developed growing up at RST. The club is a space for our graduates to grow into a diverse and thriving community where they continue to organize events and learning opportunities even outside of the class. The club serves as a starting point for our graduates to feel motivated to create their own projects together, stay involved in the community, and even mentor our younger graduates. We hope our graduates continue to remain a community throughout their lives.

    We also offer international
